for Galloway House Estate Retreat Bookings.
‘Retreat’ = A retreat taking place at Galloway House Estate.

‘You’ = the person who is booking and attending the retreat

‘We’ = Galloway House Estate

Bookings
Bookings will only be confirmed when accompanied by a deposit. The balance of your retreat is payable no later than ten weeks before the retreat starts. If we don’t receive your balance when it’s due, we reserve the right to offer the place to someone else.

Deposits
The deposits of £350 is refundable for a 14-day period after paid (unless paid within 14 days of the course start date, in which case your deposit is not refundable). After the initial 14-day period, deposits are non-refundable.
Remaining balance
The remaining balance of the course is due ten weeks before the course start date. This second payment is non-refundable unless we are able to fill your place on the course (see below).

Cancellations
If you need to cancel before ten weeks prior to the course start date, we will refund any money paid minus the deposit.
If you need to cancel within ten weeks of the course start date, we are unable to refund any of your course fees. However, after you cancel your place, we will do our best to re-sell your place. If we are successful in this, we may be able to offer a refund of your fees minus your deposit.
If Galloway House Estate cancels a retreat, we will refund your full fees (including your deposit).

Changes to the programme
We may have to make changes to the advertised programme. We always try to replace tutors with someone of similar experience, and to give you as much notice as possible. If an alteration is made to the advertised tutor, cancellation rights remain as above and we are unable to reimburse travel costs.

Travel insurance
Unfortunately, we cannot reimburse travel costs or other losses incurred in the event of a retreat cancellation. This applies to cancellations or postponements by us or you. We advise you to take out travel insurance and please check that the policy covers course fees and travel costs.

Conduct
We ask that you are respectful to the property and surrounding context, surrounding properties and livestock. Galloway House Estate reserves the right to refuse a place (or continuing place in an ongoing retreat) to any person who behaves in an abusive, destructive or disruptive manner. There will be no refund given if exclusion is made for these reasons.
Loss
We cannot accept responsibility for any loss, damage or expense sustained by guests as a result of an event or circumstance whether arising from natural cause, human agency, or beyond its control.
Please note that swimming (in either the sea or pool) is entirely at your own risk, and without the support of a lifeguard. The use of tennis courts and our bicycles is also at your own risk.

Participation and access
We are committed to providing a supportive and welcoming environment to all. We welcome assistance dogs, and may be able to provide an extra space for a carer. Please note that because of the historic nature of the cottages on site, the current configuration of our accommodation incorporates stairs and is therefore not wheelchair accessible.
If you have specific needs or are unable to take part in certain activities, please discuss these with us prior to your visit, to establish how we can best support you.

This information includes personal contact details such as your name, address, telephone number, email address, dietary requests, access needs, payment information, and any other information we may need to complete your booking.
